Spirited Away 25th Anniversary 24 Piece Keepsake Ornament Set

This Spirited Away 25th Anniversary 24 Piece Keepsake Ornament Set marks the quarter-century milestone since the film’s original Japanese theatrical premiere on July 20, 2001. Produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the motion picture became the highest-grossing film in Japanese history, holding that record until 2020. This collection serves as a definitive retrospective of the 2001–2026 era, capturing the atmospheric depth of the bathhouse and the spirit realm.

The Heritage and Legacy

The release of Spirited Away fundamentally altered the global perception of animation, securing the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Oscars in 2003. As 2026 approaches, this set honors the journey of Chihiro Ogino through the liminal space of Yubaba’s bathhouse. Each piece represents a specific narrative beat from the 125-minute runtime, documenting the evolution of the protagonist from a reluctant child to a resilient individual capable of navigating the complexities of the spirit world.

Design choices within this set mirror the aesthetic motifs found in the film’s original production cels. The color palette utilizes the deep indigos of the night-time bathhouse, the vibrant reds of the Shinto-inspired architecture, and the ethereal whites of Haku’s dragon form. Every ornament functions as a physical anchor to the film’s themes of identity, environmentalism, and the preservation of traditional folklore in a modernizing society.

Care and Longevity Guide

Maintain the integrity of the resin ornaments by storing them in the provided compartmentalized tray during the off-season. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust accumulation from the intricate relief surfaces. Avoid chemical solvents or abrasive cleaners, as these will degrade the protective pigment coating applied during the manufacturing process.

These ornaments are intended for indoor display on evergreen branches or decorative stands. The weight distribution is balanced for standard ornament hooks; ensure branches are sturdy enough to support the resin density. Keep the collection away from direct heat sources and prolonged ultraviolet exposure to prevent color fading over the coming decades.

Protective Film Removal (For Flat Acrylic Option): To ensure your high-gloss acrylic items survive manufacturing and friction during transit without micro-scratches, the glossy side of every flat piece is shipped with a factory-sealed transparent protective membrane. You must physically peel off this thin anti-scratch film before displaying the pieces to reveal their true, highly polished reflective surface.
