Denver Nuggets’ Title Defense Ends with Stunning Game 7 Loss to Timberwolves

Game 7 of the Denver Nuggets‘ Western Conference semifinal series against the Minnesota Timberwolves ended in a stunning 98-90 loss, ending the team’s hopes of winning the NBA championship again. The Nuggets put on a strong first-half effort, but they gave up in the second half, which gave the Timberwolves the opportunity to mount the biggest comeback in the history of Game 7.

The Nuggets’ season came to an unsatisfactory end with this defeat, as they became the fifth reigning champion to miss the conference finals. Motivated by their historic Game 7 triumph, the Timberwolves, on the other hand, move on to play the Dallas Mavericks in the following round.
